On one Hell of a weekend

Two Harbors.
get into my arms again.

The family took some time to travel this past Labor Day weekend
and with the exception of the bikestore, that we drove around
for a...long time in search of, closing....it couldn't have gone more smooth.







It all began with a GREAT place to stay.
Absolutely fantastic.
A great big kitchen for miss Kris to prepare us food in...
good places for relaxing reading
even a home for Gloria and Lynda...
and how dare I nearly forget the DRUM SET upstairs...


Really, all we needed was to just be there
-anywhere that helps remind us there are places that aren't here-
But on top of it, there were brilliant temperatures
what a relief from the Iowa 90s.
I went for a morning bikeride and had an earache from the cold.

Later in the day (saturday)
we traveled ourselves to some great hiking trails
and waterfalls (goosberry falls, i believe)





ahhhhhh the outdoors



we even got right up to a squirrel!!!!







After our hiking adventure
we went to...some other place that i don't remember the name of
and got too look out at Lake Supeorior...





it was pretty magical for all of us.



the picinic tables were particularly neat

AND then what else does one do after a full day....
welllll the obvious answer:






I don't remember what else happened.
but I'm sure it was great

OH i slept upstairs in the creepy upstairs
it wasn't really creepy but it was that....big windows looking out into the woods
and the trees shudder in the wind and create shadows that creep along the walls
and when you've got an imagination such as mine.................
ON TOP of having to be working on some messed-up video project during the day-time hours.....
